A photo from 1900 of the dedication of the Lick Fork Church of the United Brethren in Christ which sat 2 miles north of West Union, Ohio on Rt. 41. This church served the congregation from 1900 until 1966, at which time the church moved to bigger quarters in West Union. Adams Co.   Boaters on a flooded Second Street in Manchester, Ohio in 1897. The old Presbyterian Church (1845-1904) is seen on the right. Adams Co.   The West Union United Presbyterian Church was built of hewn stone in 1810. The stonemason was Thomas Metcalf who later became Governor of Kentucky. Governor Thomas Kirker was instrumental in getting the church built. This is the oldest church structure in Ohio still in use as a church.
